Do you have a shovel-ready project or have you made an investment in your business?  We want to hear from you!

A successful DRI/NY Forward application will showcase the many public and private investments that have been made within the community throughout the past decade and identify shovel-ready and future projects that will ignite additional growth and be a catalyst for future investments.

Please use the forms below to submit your Downtown shovel ready project ideas as well as current projects or investment so they may be included to show Lake George’s readiness for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), NY Forward and concurrent funding program applications. For your project or investment to be included in the initial application you must be able to provide all information requested in the forms and meet other NYS requirements. If your project is not shovel ready, please still submit the project form to be included in a possible future project list. Forms submitted will be reviewed and additional information and documentation may be required by the committee or per NYS requirements for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative and NY Forward programs.

What is shovel ready you ask?
It is a project that is already designed, cost estimates are known, the site is secured, and you have most, but maybe not all of the funding for it.

CALL FOR PROJECT IDEAS

The Lake George DRI/NY Forward Application will include projects that will help transform the downtown neighborhood into a vibrant community where New Yorkers want to live, work, play, and raise families.

Submit your project ideas

We are looking for transformative, shovel-ready project ideas to include in the NY Forward application! For your project proposal to be included in the initial application, you must be able to provide all information requested in the form and meet other NYS requirements. Eligible project types include building renovation and redevelopment, adaptive reuse, projects that include new construction or creation of a new space, and projects that elevate specific cultural, historical qualities that enhance the feeling of small-town charm.

Projects should provide broader benefits for the community, and be shovel ready. Shovel ready means your project is designed, cost estimates are known, the site is secured, you have some funding in place, and implementation could feasibly begin by early 2024 (e.g. with NYF funding). If your project is not shovel ready, please still submit the project form to be included in a possible future project list. Forms submitted will be reviewed and additional information and documentation may be requested. Please note that inclusion in the application does not guarantee your project will receive funding if Lake George is awarded.

Instructions: Download the fillable Project Idea form below.  Email the completed form to Dan Barusch: dbarusch@lakegeorgetown.org or Susan Caruvana: scaruvana@edrdpc.com with the subject line “Lake George DRI/NY Forward Application Project Ideas.”
